In 1980, Chen Dance Center moved into its space at 70 Mulberry Street in the very heart of NYC's Chinatown. Since then, the Company has established itself as a thriving arts institution in one of NYC's most culturally vibrant neighborhoods. CDC is dedicated to providing quality, affordable programming to people in its community, from classes at its School to family-friendly performances and educational programming at the Theater that celebrate Chinese history, culture, and aesthetics.

Through partnerships with Chinatown tourism and community development organizations, as well as other arts organizations that support the work of Asian artists, CDC is proud to participate in the health and vibrancy of Chinatown and the entire City.
