The CDC Theater (formerly known as Mulberry St Theater) is an intimate black box space ideal for modern dance performance located in the heart of Chinatown. Since its inception in 1988, the Theater has achieved a respected position in the artistic community, having received extensive press attention, most notably in the New York Times and The Village Voice.

Through these series, artists receive free rehearsal space and the chance to present their work to the public in a professional setting. In addition, the Theater often hosts performances and serves as rehearsal space for CDC's resident dance company, H.T. Chen & Dancers.
