Guest Artist: Zara Anwar

Zara Anwar, a Columbia, MD native, is a freelance performer.  She danced with Axis Dance Company and performed works by Marc Brew, Nadia Adame, Asun Noales, Robin Dekkers and others. She performed in venues like Rowan University, Bold Moves Festival, ODC Theater, Jacob’s Pillow, Invictus Games (Germany), Festival Cervantino (Mexico), ASU Gammage, and Unique Source Awards. She trained as a merit-scholar at Baltimore School for the Arts, The Ailey School, and LINES Ballet BFA Program. As a student, she traveled with JUNTOS Collective to Central America to teach and perform with the organization.  She joined H.T. Chen & Dancers in 2025.
