Blossoming Corner Project

Chen Dance Center’s Blossoming Corner Project helps beautify and green Chinatown by placing flowers and trees along Mulberry & Bayard Streets. H.T. Chen, Artistic Director of CDC, hopes the added beauty will encourage the community to care more for their environment and work for clean air in Chinatown.

Since its launch in December 2008, the street has been transformed as many organizations and individuals stepped forward to support the greening project, including: R. Tim Lau, Chinatown Partnership Local Development Corporation, Joan Fang, Wendy Chan, Chinatown Flowers, Chinatown Manpower Project, Chinatown Senior Citizens Center, Siu Fung Chiu, Canalberry Pharmacy, China Village Restaurant, Jade Garden Arts & Crafts Co., Kai Hing Lee, Mr. and Mrs. KY Lee, Lung Moon Bakery, Peony Chinese Bonsai, Pho Viet Huong Restaurant, United East Athletics Association, Alice Lam, Councilman Alan Gerson, Garden City Floral Arts, New Bo KY Restaurant, Inc., and Chinatown Building Supply Inc.
