The School
Founded in 1980, the School is a year-round arts school offering Ballet, Modern Dance, and private piano instruction to students of all ages.
What makes us unique?
The School of Chen Dance Center provides children with opportunities to study dance and music in a non-competitive and nurturing environment. We believe that dance empowers the individual physically, emotionally, and spiritually; one becomes a better person for studying the arts seriously. The investment in learning is manifest and the dancers’ carriage and grace in life.
Class performances

Classes are conducted in a manner as to prepare young students for further professional studies, and older students for professional work.
Recitals for all students are held twice yearly and participation is required so that parents, family members, and friends can celebrate their progress and achievements.
Students ages 7 and up, are encouraged to develop movement studies for performance in the School’s “Chance to Dance” concerts, presented semi-annually.
Students may be selected to appear in H.T. Chen & Dancers’ productions home based and on tour.
