We were greatly saddened to learn of Helen’s passing on May 27, 2013. Helen was best known for her work leading NYSCA’s Special Arts Services Program which has helped build and sustain large and small institutions spanning all arts disciplines across New York State.
MARTHA HILL (1900-1995) – Educator, administrator, artistic director and visionary for dance as a performing art – Martha Hill established an unprecedented standard for excellence in the field.
On October 6, 2009 H.T. Chen was honored to accept the Mayor’s Award for Arts and Culture at a ceremony that was entertaining and delightful. Mayor Michael Bloomberg hosted the celebration and performed with the master of ceremonies, John Stamos.
H.T. Chen & Dancers was honored to be in residence at The Yard on Martha’s Vineyard, MA, from June 6 - 26, 2011. The company presented performances, daily classes, outreach into the community, and developed a new company work titled Song of the Stone.
