About the Performance

Premiered: DTW's Bessie Schonberg Theater, NYC

Peach in the Sky is sourced from the legend of the Monkey King, who covets the peach ’ symbol of longevity. In the dance, the character does not depict the traditional Monkey King, but rather, one who wishes to steal.
